Sites Like Camzap

This is a pretty cool random video stranger chat site if you ask me. Camzap has been around since just after the launch of Chatroulette, so as one of the few true alternatives available, it quickly grew in popularity, which it has seemingly been able to maintain ever since. For whatever reason, it doesn’t draw a large United States / Canada / UK / etc crowd, but it is still pretty awesome! And, since we’re fans, it’s only natural that we should compile a list of similar sites like Camzap in order to broaden our exposure to the awesomeness of the general roulette chat concept. That being said, here’s the list! Remember, we already checked this websites out first hand so we know what we’re talking about ;)

1. iMeetzuCheck Review

Our top choice is iMeetzu, because it’s frankly the most awesome random chat with strangers site ever! Yes, that’s right, they even added a complete and fully functional social network into the mix – and did I mention it’s amazing? Well, it is!

Omegle is mad kewl. They have text-only and webcam-only chatting choices, and are hugely popular, but that’s not all. They also have their own unique features such as something called “spy mode” where you can pose a question and watch people right over the answer. It’s super cool, so give them a visit!

5. Bazoocam – Check Review

This Chatroulette-style Camzap similar site has a mainly French user base. So, if that’s what you’re into, it should be perfect for you, and if it isn’t…maybe it’s still worth checking out? I don’t really know, lol.

Sites Like Chatroulette

So, odds are by now you’ve heard of and likely tried out the most famous webcam random chat site, Chatroulette. Personally, I will always be a fan of it – after all, it was the first to truly popularize roulette video chat. Sites Like Omegle

So, first of all, Omegle was basically the first site to make the entire idea of random chatting popular, so props to them for that! This, of course, isn’t the only reason we love them, we love them because they provide a fast and unique chat experience in comparison to other roulette chat sites. However, despite their undeniable awesomeness, we still have found ourselves wondering whether or not there are other sites like Omegle out in the vast expanse of the internet. And, the answer, of course, is that there are. And, there aren’t just a few, there are a lot. However, there are a very small number, or should I say, there may only literally be one that is truly similar in terms of offerings, the rest tend to be more different. At any rate, we’ll let you draw your own conclusions, here’s the list:

1. iMeetzuOur Review

Here we have the random chat site that is probably the closest to Omegle in terms of offerings. iMeetzu has both text and video options just like Omegle, and no other sites we have listed here have the text-only choice. When you put all of the functionality together, you get a great combination that you definitely can’t miss out on!

Sites Like Chatrandom

So, we happen to be pretty big fans of ChatRandom, because well, frankly, it’s an awesome random video chat site. It’s popular, has lots of great features, loads fast, etc. However, that doesn’t change the fact that after using it for a while, we still begin to wonder what else is out there – I think it’s human nature to always want to sort of move on to something new every so often. Anyway, this being the case, we decided to scour the internet in search of all the best sites like ChatRandom, and low and behold, we found a whole lot of them! This isn’t to say they’re all as good, because the truth of the matter is only a small number are of comparable awesomeness, but nonetheless we were still able to come up with a pretty sweet list, and here it is:

1. iMeetzuSee Review

This website is pretty similar to Chatrandom in the sense that it has the same random video chat and group webcam chat functionality. However, iMeetzu also has a text-only random chat and stranger social network, both of which are unique to it in comparison. The combination of all these choices makes this site a stellar alternative that is definitely worth checking out!

2. Omegle – See Review

Omegle is one of the most popular random chat sites, and has both video and text options, along with their own unique feature called “spy mode”. Give them a visit for sure!

3. Chatroulette – See Review

This site essentially pioneered random webcam chat as we know it, and is still one of the most popular such sites to this day. If you haven’t heard of them, you must be living under a rock!

4. Bazoocam – See Review

With a focus on French users, this site has blossomed into a popular and viable roulette chat site – definitely worth a look.

5. Camzap – See Review

Camzap is a popular random video option with a mostly international user base (non-US), and has recently added it’s own unique user system.

6. Streamberry – See Review

7. Funyo – See Review

8. Chatville – See Review

9. Chatpig – See Review

10. WebcamBam – See Review

Chatpig is a site very similar to Chatroulette. It has the same basic features as any random roulette live video chat site nowadays, but it does look like it used to have it’s own unique “snaps” function that allowed users to take snapshots in the middle of a chat session. However, this feature is no longer available. At any rate, I’m supposed the next thing you would likely be curious about is what kind of user base it has / how popular it is. First, I will note that based on it’s Alexa ranking and it’s users online tracker, it looks like it tends to have enough people available to ensure a good chatting experience most of the day. Second, I must bring up a major point about the location of the typical user – it’s Germany.

Yep, this particular random cam chat site is German-focused, and they succeeded with this focus. So, if you’re looking to find out more on sauerkraut recipes, this could be the place for you! Personally, I love sauerkraut, so I think this site is da bomb yo. Yes, I’m totally gangsta. In any case, we can’t forget to mention the pig logo and the site style laced with pink. Obviously when you throw those two aspects into the mix you just have to check this website out. Oh, almost forgot, the software itself works well and fast, so you don’t have to worry about some old clunker of a server and app taking ages to load etc. You can visit this site at

Funyo began as a simple video roulette chat site, and then added a variety of extra features as time went on. One feature that sets it apart from most random chat sites is that is has a social network attached to it. I would say it is not on the level of the social network run by iMeetzu, but it is still up and coming and I’m sure they have a lot of kinks to work out such as spam control etc, which is normal with any newer user-based system like that. Anyway, besides that, they also have the Chatroulette-style webcam chatting option, as previously noted. This option runs smoothly in my experience, and has a pretty good number of users available most of the time. The Alexa rank of the website is around 50,000, so that’s usually good enough to ensure their are always enough people around to make a site interesting.

Anyway, the site has other extra features as well. First, it has a group chat room setup where you can actually pick your local location and enter a room. This part in particular does not seem to have caught on yet, but it looks like they are also using the same software system to support a more general chat room which does seem to be pretty well populated with users most of the time, and it allows you to do both video and text chatting, along with private messaging / video calling as you desire. Finally, they have another live cam chat option that seems to concentrate on building up viewers / performing, so if you’re into that be sure to check it out. Their site is located at

From what I recall, this site came onto the live video random chatting scene back in early 2011, yet it still has managed to climb the ranks of the webcam roulette sites to the point where it now ranks among the most popular. Chatrandom is actually already nipping at the heels of the two big boys, Omegle and Chatroueltte, if you can believe that! How’d they do it? I guess they are good at internet marketing, what can I say, because it’s definitely an impressive feat they have accomplished thus far. As you might imagine based on what I’ve said the site has plenty of users online 24/7/365, so you will definitely be entertained in terms plenty of new people to meet every time you log in. Now, let’s talk about the features.

If I had to venture a guess, smart marketing isn’t the only thing that made Chatrandom as popular as it is as quickly as it happened, because it has a versatile set of chatting options that most other chat room sites do not. First, it has the usual obvious video roulette chat option. This option is running on a solid software platform, with very few if any disconnections. Second, they have something they have a group chat room area where you can choose among a multitude of rooms that are all packed with users, and you can chat via text or video, it’s your choice. You can view other people’s streams, have private video calls, and more, it has lots of great features. Third, and lastly, Chatrandom has a multi chat functionality that is focused on viewing and/or running your own live cam stream, but with more of a focus on sort of gaining viewers / having your own show. If all this sounds awesome, visit them now at

Camzap is a popular Chatroulette alternative, that at least started out as an almost exact imitation. In terms of what it offers it still basically is an exact copy, but there is one distinct new feature they’ve added which I will get to later. You may be thinking, how can a copycat site become popular? It’s not like they invented anything new? Well, they did, and it seems to me a big part of the reason it worked out for them is they saw the opportunity and jumped in really early on, right after Chatroulette went viral. I’ve seen this same sort of marketing strategy utilized on Youtube viral videso all the time – people make parodies etc and whoever makes a decently good one the soonest gets the most attention. I guess a similar concept applies with viral websites.

Anyway, Camzap is definitely popular, as we’ve already established. It’s user base is a bit different from the average random roulette webcam chat site though. It seems to be a much more international visitor makeup, with oddly large concentrations from places like Iraq and Brazil. Granted, maybe Brazil isn’t so odd considering their massive population since some roulette site has to be their spot to be, but you get the idea. In any case, that one distinctive feature I alluded to earlier is their beta version. The link to it is a bit hard to spot, but it’s in the footer, and it takes you to a new page. On the new page you see the same old roulette setup, with one major different. There is user registration and an add to friends button you can use while playing cam roulette. This is definitely a nice extra feature to have. Visit this website at

This is a pretty popular live video random chat site. It was one of the earlier Chatroulette imitators, such that it got in at the right time and ended up doing very well for itself despite having no distinctly unique features, unless I’m missing something. However, even though it doesn’t really have any unique functionality, it does sort of have one proprietary aspect to it, which is that it has marketed specifically to the French population, and succeeded in drawing a large user base from France. Furthermore, I’m not sure whether or not this second part was intended, but they have also been able to attract a large Italian user base. Maybe this is related to a similarity in languages? I don’t really know, I’m no expert on the subject, but I can tell you that Alexa traffic data does show this to be the case.

Anyway, as I noted before, this is basically an exact roulette webcam chat imitation with nothing unique about it. However, it obviously is running on a different software application and different server, so in that sense there can always be a difference in terms of user experience. What I have found is that the software responds quickly and the server loads fast, so you have a pretty seamless experience when using their service. Furthermore, there are always plenty of users online, so you shouldn’t have the issue where you run into the same person over and over like you do with some of the less popular random chat sites. In any case, you can visit this site at
